About Pamela Lewis - Founder & Certified Travel Expert

Pamela Lewis, President of Vitae Escapes Travel Agency (VETA), founded the agency in 2024 after recognizing the need for travel that is both meaningful and expertly curated. After struggling to find knowledgeable and reliable travel support for her own trips, she turned her passion into a full-service travel business built on trust and experience. Pamela is IATA and CLIA certified, holds certifications with major cruise lines, and is trained with leading hotel brands including Marriott and Hilton. She is also a Certified Expedia Travel Agent, offering clients trusted partnerships and elevated travel options across all travel styles.

While VETA specializes in curated group trips for 50 and older, like-minded travelers, the agency designs all forms of travel—including solo getaways, couples retreats, luxury escapes, cruises, and custom itineraries—each delivered with stress-free planning and thoughtful attention to detail.

Our Story

Pamela Lewis, President of Vitae Escapes, is a native of Starkville, Mississippi, raised in Panama City, Florida, and settled in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1999. As a busy mom of three and grandmother to ten, Pamela's 30+ years in customer service make providing personalized client experiences second nature.

Pamela entered the travel industry after struggling to find affordable and knowledgeable travel assistance for herself. Her desire to meet new friends and travel after building her home in Jacksonville was hindered by high travel costs and poor customer service from existing agencies.

Taking matters into her own hands, Pamela gained extensive travel knowledge by planning her own itineraries and soon began helping family and friends with their travel plans. Realizing her talent for making travel dreams come true, she became a licensed travel agent and founded Vitae Escapes.
